Bio

People call me 'Cowgirl.' I try my best to live up to that name. It ain't easy and at times I do get discouraged, but hopefully I'm doin' OK.

I'm a Bostonian living in Natick, Ma., with my Dad and six other people and three cats. I moved from a really bad living situation with my mother to live with my Dad, and although one can antcipate it being a little difficult at first, things seem to be going pretty well so far and I'm starting to get pretty optimistic about it all. On the weekends my time is usually spent in New Hampshire visiting my friend and his family. This is usually were I get my fill of horses for the next few days, working and riding at Perry Hill Farm in Bedford. I love getting to spend my day with the horses and the ponies and can't wait until I can do it every day. In fact, that is one of my dreams, to work at Dream Walkin' Farms in Oklahoma, hopefully as a trainer.

My favorite singer/idol/crush is country musician Toby Keith. I fell in love with his music in 2007 after hearing "I'm Just Talking 'Bout Tonight" on the radio and fell in love with him after watching an interview with him on TV a month or so later. Toby and his music have gotten me through some really tough times in the past four years and I have no doubt he will continue to do so in the future. I really hope one day I can go face-to-face and personally thank him for all that he has done for me. My favorite song of his changes every minute; I don't think there's a single song of his that I don't like. Right now I am obsessed with "American Ride" and a couple songs on his 2002 album Unleashed. I have seen him in concert four times so far. I love seeing him perform live and I love the energy he brings to the industry. There is never a dull moment or a controvery left unturned with Mr. Keith.

I love to death my pony Abbott. Well... he stands at 17hh so he's not exactly a pony, and Perry Hill Farm owns him so he's not exactly my horse. But I love him like he is mine, regardless. Abbott is a 29-year-old Saddlebred gelding that was rescued almost two years ago from a farm in Danville, New Hampshire, where his previous owners had practically starved him and had not had him seen by a farrier in months. His current owner suspects that he was once used as a school horse, but has no confirmed idea of what he has been doing for the pasty twenty years, as the registry only has information on him up until he was nine. I met Abbott on my first day of a summper camp at PHF and have loved him to death ever since. He currently enjoys a lesiurely life as the overseer of all barn activities and time spent in front of his fan in his stall. We go on nice walks and lesiurely rides outside together and he gets a grooming every time I see him.

I have big dreams for my future that I don't plan on compromising for. I wasn't happy with the life I was leading before so I did everything in my power to change it. I'm not going to stop working on my life or myself until I'm happy with who I am and what I've accomplished. I don't care how long it takes but it'll happen, one way or another.
